Kate Schwarz, LCSW
PSYCHOTHERAPIST
I treat young adults and adults. Within those groups, I am particularly committed to working with parents, college students and artists.

Therapy for Parents
As a mother I know the magic and the mayhem that children bring, and how challenging it can be to remember who you are in the midst of caring for everyone else. I've run therapeutic support groups for mothers, and I've worked with many parents individually. I will help you find yourself again, as we work to bring balance back into your life so that you can be present and centered for your family and for yourself.
Therapy for College Students
College is one of the most exciting and difficult stages of life. Filled with new opportunities and experiences, you have likely found yourself thrust into a world that is vastly different from what you previously knew. Coping with that degree of change is hard. Having spent several years working in a college counseling center, I understand the unique and difficult struggles many students face. I will help you adjust to your circumstances and learn to effectively manage the resulting stress, so that you can make the most of this important life stage.

Therapy for Artists
My first career was in musical theater, an art form I loved but a business that chiseled away at my self-esteem. I understand the highs and the lows that a creative calling yields. Whether you are struggling with confidence, identity, body image, uncertainty about the future or more, I will help you work through your roadblocks so that you can pursue your passion more wholly and build a comfortable, fulfilling life.
